Ancestors Remembrance Day

The Nat Turner Library hosts a day of commemoration of Nat Turner's transition on November 11, 1831, honoring Nat Turner and the Ancestors for their legacy of freedom. This celebration starts at 12:00 noon and features a Nat Turner War Trail Tour (12pm - 2pm), networking and dinner (4pm-6pm), and a 6pm lecture with annual guest speaker Dr. Umar Ifatunde Johnson. Tickets are $40 for Adults. Teens (13-18) $20- half price and children 12 & under FREE admission (Includes mobile tour, dinner and lecture). Thank you for your support of this national landmark honoring the spirit of Freedom Fighter Nat Turner and ALL of the Ancestors who fought, bled and transitioned for a life of freedom, justice and equality for the generations ahead.
